Research Interests

Georgina is Senior Curator at Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust where she manages the Library & Archive and looks after the collections at Coalbrookdale, which includes decorative metalwork, social history and costume. The books in the Library number some 40,000 volumes, and include 19th century trade catalogues (Coalbrookdale Co., Maw and Co., and Craven Dunnill), local directories and other printed ephemera. The Archive Collection mainly contains primary and unique material including several prints, drawings and paintings from the Elton Collection, which are the best single collection of industrial and transport images anywhere.

At Blists Hill Victorian Town, there is a Printers exhibit with a working Columbian, Wharfedale and Cropper press. As well as producing all printed material for the Town, demonstrators show visitors how the presses work and describe the life of a printer in 1900.
