Carla Marrinan Funder is CEO of the National Print Museum, Dublin, where she is responsible for the organisation’s strategic direction and development. She has over 17 years’ experience in senior leadership roles within the museum and cultural sector.

She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Policy and Arts Management from University College Dublin and her work focuses on cultural policy development, heritage management, and contemporary engagement with traditional craft practices.

Carla has project-managed a range of exhibitions for the National Print Museum exploring ways of building connections with audiences and print in everyday life, from posters of protest to postage stamps. She has also developed collaborative print projects with internationally renowned graphic artists and a number of Ireland’s leading writers.

She has initiated sector-facing programmes, including the Skills Transfer Project, which supports the preservation and transmission of traditional print skills. Under her leadership, letterpress printing was added to Ireland’s National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Carla is currently co-curating an exhibition on contemporary print responses to the 1916 Proclamation of Independence and is leading a major Redevelopment and Relocation Project for the Museum.
